Guardian Of The Gulf; The Dry Tortugas, is a feature length documentary film, “Educational Eye Candy”, intended for domestic and international distribution, captured in true Broadcast Standard, High Definition, over the course of 13 years on 13 different trips out to the location. Very few people even know of this place no film or book published, has gone into depth about the major role, this location has played in US History. The film is nearly complete and the Director Anne Jo Lee, is raising the finishing funds to pay for the editor, graphics, art, audio and score.
Viewers will discover the location’s integral role in US History, the incredible architecture, of the mysterious, Ft. Jefferson, the abundant Coral Reef through underwater footage of the best clarity, programs that support the protection of he habitat, a Bird Sanctuary, pirates, American History dating back to when Christopher Columbus landed, the Wet foot Dry Foot Policy, the Civil War prisoners, a History that is seldom discussed.
This group of islands it surrounded by picturesque blue waters 70 miles from Key West, a family friendly adventure in the least visited National Park in the lower 48. Intended for all audiences, this is an entertaining tool to inspire protection of these special heritage sites, as well as our Natural Resources.
